Description

AP Professionals has partnered with an employee owned company in search of a Business Intelligence Analyst. This is a newly created position due to company growth! In this small IT department, employees must be willing to help with ongoing projects and assist in developing business requirements/solutions. Requires strong customer service skills as this role deals heavily with application management and troubleshooting. A Bachelor’s Degree in IT is desired for this role or equivalent experience.

This is a full time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the internal database environment
  • Determine business and user needs
  • Use trend data to determine recommendations for action
  • Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
  • Manage business intelligence tools or systems, spreadsheets, or outputs.
  • Responsible for serving as a subject matter expert (SME) working with the development team and with clients to identify impacts, analyze issues and implement product solutions.
  • Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and clients to define, design, and deploy solutions that meet company, client, and architectural needs.
  • Troubleshoots and debugs issues.
  • Tests and validates data to ensure data integrity and accuracy of data flows and data warehouses.
  • Researches, evaluates, and implements new technology to optimize the functionality and performance of solutions.
  • Maintains business and technical design documents, including system requirements for data, data flow diagrams, logical processes, interfaces with other systems.
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends.
  • Evaluates and tests new App releases, upgrades and patches as required.
  • Performs data mapping and data translations.
  • Provides recommendations for enhancements/changes and business process changes/additions to packaged software applications.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related experience

Experience

  • 3+ years of business analyst experience
  • 3+ years of experience administering applications
  • In depth experience with Azure and .Net
  • Experience with report development software including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), ReportsNow, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, O365, Power BI, Azure DevOps, Azure Logic Apps & Data Factory
  • Experience with Web, Power & API Apps
  • Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development tools
  • HRIS integration and vendor management experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Logic Apps and Data Factory
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager & ManageEngine software
