Manufacturing Engineer

AP Professionals is collaborating with a local manufacturer in search of a Manufacturing Engineer! The Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing manufacturing processes for critical new customer programs. The primary focus will be on designing automated and manual welding processes, as well as supporting ancillary processes. The ideal candidate will have experience and working knowledge of the welding process.

• Devise welding, assembly, and other processes tailored for significant customer programs, with a keen understanding of associated costs and timelines.
• Spearhead the selection of equipment for critical processes, emphasizing automation where applicable.
• Design necessary tooling and fixturing to support manufacturing operations.
• Create work center layouts that prioritize lean manufacturing principles and ergonomic considerations.
• Implement development plans within specified schedules and budgetary constraints.
• Generate essential process documentation as required.
• Collaborate with manufacturing management to seamlessly integrate new processes.
• Take the lead on any additional special projects assigned by the Development Engineering Manager.
• Fulfill any other duties as directed by the manager.

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in welding process development.
• Hands-on experience with robotics.

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Solidworks.
• Experience with robotic programming.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Familiarity with business practices and protocols.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
