Metrology Engineer

AP Professionals has partnered with an eastside based company in search of a Metrology Engineer. Responsible for performing measurements, identifying process improvements, and calibrating gages. Oversee the general organization of the calibration lab to maintain 5S. Must be hands on, technical, and detail oriented. An Associate’s degree is required along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Aerospace industry experience is a plus!

• Identify process improvements
• Utilize measurement gages
• Record data for lab metrics
• Performance capability studies
• Collaborate with other Metrology Engineers
• Oversee the cleanliness and 5S of the calibration and metrology lab
• Calibrate gages
• Re-qualify probes on CMM weekly

• Associates degree in a technical field

• At least 2 years of related experience
• Aerospace industry experience is a plus

• Familiarity with gages
• Basic programming skills
• Basic understanding of Six Sigma, SPC
