Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a manufacturing company in search of a Production Maintenance Supervisor. The main duties of this role include preventative maintenance of machines, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting a timely production environment. A strong leader is desired to promote a proactive production environment rather than reactive. A highly experienced Maintenance Supervisor is desired for this role, with the ability to maintain up to date knowledge of best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain condition of operations equipment to meet production schedules
  • Manage emergency equipment issues and expedite solutions
  • Perform and lead preventive maintenance tasks
  • Utilizes the site Computerized Maintenance Management System and leverages the system to minimize separate tracking and reporting
  • Identify key spare parts and the need for parts in regular inventory
  • Determine improvements to equipment or needs for replacement
  • Oversee management of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Engage in the Quality Improvement Program by performing investigations, writing response reports, and implementing corrective actions for CAPA’s
  • Ensures self and staff understand the organization’s vision, values, goals and strategies and their relationship to their daily work
  • Lead employees and clearly communicate responsibilities, goals, and performance metrics
  • Stay up to date on technical knowledge and improvement, engage in cross training and third – party training programs
  • Provide technical advice and support to maintenance and project teams
  • Offer general equipment problem solving expertise in the manufacturing operation
  • Attend industry relevant technical seminars and trade shows and maintain a current knowledge of equipment

Experience

  • 15+ years of manufacturing operations experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance techniques
  • ERP systems experience desired
  • Experience with Trackwise quality management system a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Understanding of packaging systems for liquid and solids
  • Knowledge of FDA, CGMP, NFPA, ADA, OSHA, and New York State and local regulations
  • Ability to manage expense and capital project budgets
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing knowledge is a plus
