Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a process/manufacturing/automation engineering firm that is looking to add a Pharma Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will handle large-scale capital projects within the Pharmaceutical division. Previous experience within the sanitary of hygienic industries required. Ability to travel needed.

Responsibilities

  • Input site preparation, and liaison with other construction professionals such as architects, civil & structural engineers before construction work starts.
  • Conduct site surveys to gather information to allow production of P&IDs and 3D modelling.
  • Attend design reviews with internal colleagues / client to review and agree 3D design / layouts.
  • Develop CADWorx database for all items on a project.
  • Deliver assigned projects with due respect to safety, cost, time and quality
  • Manage the day to day activities associated with the management and planning of project work and assigned resources to ensure successful delivery of projects
  • Manage and interpret customer’s technical/commercial requirements including making technical presentations and demonstrating how a proposal will meet a client’s needs
  • Manage quality, completeness, consistency and accuracy of deliverables necessary for the completion of assigned projects
  • Ensure designs and projects meet all required standards including Client, company and legislative standards whilst ensuring best efficiency is attained with regards to resource allocation and use together with the cost of third party supplied services and equipment
  • Manage and develop positive Client relationship including Key Client Management
  • Develop project execution documentation, including but not limited to cost schedules, project budgets, project programmes, commissioning plans, snagging lists, technical specifications, proposal documents
  • Support the project design team to deliver a coordinated design using resources as efficiently and effectively as possible across all disciplines including project, process, mechanical design, cost, contract, electrical and software
  • Liaison with suppliers and contractors in order to specify & procure plant, equipment & specialty packages
  • Ensure progress, changes, costs, issues etc. are communicated to the Client regularly and appropriately, and to ensure that the Client is appropriately involved throughout the project
  • Provide input with respect to supporting existing and any new engineering systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering degree
  • EIT or PE a plus

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in engineering preferably within the sanitary or hygienic process industries
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering within batch processes within the sanitary or hygienic process industries
  • Proficiency in MS office, Excel, Access, Microsoft Project
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CADWorx, Schedule-pro and other engineering software packages.
