Description

AP Professionals has partnered with a service company that is looking to add a Purchasing Analyst to their Rochester, NY team. Open due to internal growth in the department. The Purchasing Analyst will analyze, evaluate, and compare new and existing suppliers as well as perform negotiations, support strategic initiatives, and maintain supplier relationships. Bilingual in Spanish and English a plus! 5+ years’ experience in a Purchasing Analyst role required.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) spend data and developing, creating, and preparing reports to solicit bid proposals and assist the Procurement Department.
  • Develop and create monthly, quarterly, and yearly spend reports by division and communicate information and results to stakeholders
  • Develop short and long-term sourcing strategies, cost analysis/standards, and quality metrics in order to remain competitive in the supply chain market.
  • Develop, monitor, pursue, and execute tactical and strategic sourcing and/or process improvement initiatives
  • Leads RFP development, contract drafting, terms and conditions negotiations, and supports contract implementation.
  • Oversee, review, identify, and evaluate T&C’s risk, and work with stakeholders on proposals to mitigate risks.
  • Develop and prepare cost benefit analysis for review by management and stakeholders
  • Serve as the liaison between the Company and vendors
  • Handle day-to-day contract management.
  • Develop and implement new policies in order to maximize contract compliance.
  • Negotiate with vendors for cost savings utilizing competitive bench-marking of detailed cost elements and analysis of cost variances.
  • Create, track, and monitor supply performance KPI’s.  Resolve issues with vendors if they arise and analyze and evaluate existing and potential suppliers.
  • Document efficient and productive operating processes

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or other relevant area of study
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) a plus
  • Project Management
  • Supply Chain Management (SCM)
  • APICS Certification
  • Yellow or Green Belt Six Sigma Certification

Experience

  • 5 years of indirect and direct purchasing analyst experience required.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and / or experience working in a union environment preferred.
  • Oracle JDE or other ERP software experience preferred.
