Senior Accountant

This company is looking for a Senior Accountant. This is an accounting position with broad exposure to many finance and operational activities for company with multiple subsidiary and sister companies. This position reports to the Controller. • Involved with various accounting/finance projects and process improvement.
• Journal entry preparation and posting.
• Closing ledgers timely on a monthly basis.
• Account reconciliation and analysis.
• Preparing and analyzing various management reports and subsidiary and sister company financial statements.
• Cost accounting analysis.
• Purchase order review.
• Year end audit support and general accounting/finance support.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• CPA Preferred.

• 2-3 years of experience, public or cost accounting preferred.
• ERP Experience a plus.

• Critical thinker with strong analytical skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and task oriented.
• Detail oriented with ability to self-review.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work extended hours when under deadlines – typically in conjunction with quarterly reporting and non-routine transactions.
