Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant performs reconciliations, analyses, and prepares journal entries and various reports. • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for multiple divisions.
• Assist in preparing supporting schedules for closing and budgets.
• Maintain organized accounting records and support for year-end audits.
• Assist in compiling, creating, and distributing a variety of management reports and month-end reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve issues with the processing of invoices and/or payments.
• Assist with reconciling in-coming vendor invoices against purchase orders for accuracy and the daily processing of in-coming customer payments.
• Resolve inconsistent financial information in preparation of schedules, account reconciliations and reports.
• Continually assessing and recommending improvements to the accounting and reporting processes.

• BS in Accounting or Finance.
• Two to five years relative experience or the equivalent education and experience.

• Experience in a manufacturing job costing environment preferred.

• Proficient with MS Office Suite; with intermediate skills in Excel and Word.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Outstanding organizational skills, attentive to details and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task and effectively track deliverables.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills required.
