Favorite thing about recruiting?
The best part of this job is seeing a professional reach their career happiness through our direct, or indirect, efforts. Whether it’s placing a candidate into their dream job, providing indirect advice to help them make a career decision, or simply lending an ear to help them through a position situation struggle. Listening and providing professional advice to help someone’s career is very fulfilling.

With two college age boys (how?), my wife and I are excited to enjoy regular trips to visit our kids and have a little fun of our own; one in the heart of Boston, the second down in warm South Carolina.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Wake up with me at 4:30am – It’s the best time of the day! Most days you can find me at SmoothFit Training, a gym that is built around Community, Culture, and Camaraderie.
On the weekends during the summer months, my husband and I are busy traveling to Maryland and New Jersey to watch our daughters, Olivia and Julia play club lacrosse tournaments among the best teams in the country. It is a pleasure to see my daughters play a sport they love and grow as student athletes.
Next year, you will find my husband and I traveling to cheer on the University of Virginia Women’s Lacrosse program, where our daughter Olivia committed to play Division I lacrosse and to further her academic studies.
Favorite thing about recruiting?
“I GET TO” help people! When I recruit a candidate, work with them through the interview process, and see joy in their eyes when they reach their goal, it will forever be my reason why. Meeting people, listening to their goals and matching these goals to a new opportunity is what I find most rewarding as a recruiter.
Each and every day is different, over the past 23+ years, I have listened to a variety of stories and with each story we have laughed and learned. I joke and say “I could write a book.”

Hometown:
I’m from a small town outside of Binghamton called Windsor, NY. I grew up on a one lane dirt road on a small lake that was mostly a vacation spot. We were one of the only families that lived there all year long.
Quarantine hobby you picked up:
It isn’t necessarily just from quarantine, but I’m a happy, but kind of terrible, gardener. When we bought our house there was a large garden and I’ve slowly killed portions of it but overall I love it. It’s quiet and peaceful to be out there working in the soil and watching things grow. I do my best thinking in the garden and enjoy it more than I expected.
What do you like to do in your spare time:
I’m not an athlete myself, but I am married to one. Since I met him I have learned to really love baseball. We are Yankees fans but also enjoy watching our two sons play in the MCBR league here in Rochester. Our younger son also plays soccer through CSA and I’ve enjoyed learning more about soccer.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I love to volunteer at Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. I adore animals, so any chance I get to be around them and take care of them is a privilege. I love to see families come in to adopt a pet and see the joy on their face as well as the animal who is finally getting a new home. I personally have three dogs and three cats that fill my house with lots of love and fur!
What do you love about your job?
My favorite thing about recruiting is that every day is different. I am fortunate to get to meet so many people who I can form relationships with that last beyond placing them in a job. It is extremely rewarding to assist individuals with finding a new opportunity and helping our terrific clients find the talent they are looking for. For me, it is a win win situation as I love to interact with both the candidates and the clients.

She is proud of her “professional match-making skills” that have served the Greater Rochester Area employers and job-seekers every day since joining us in 2008.

Bucket List…
In 2019, I was able to take a trip to Ireland with my three (now adult) children. It was a first for all of us – a trip of a lifetime full of beautiful scenery, winding and narrow roads, friendly people, and Guinness! It was my one opportunity to have a big vacation before they all fly the coop. To date, it’s my greatest memory with my children (I’m the short one in the photo).
In your spare time…
Most people know I like to stay active. It has been a lifelong pleasure. I actually taught “aerobics classes” for about 10 years and still miss the Madonna headset! Since those days, I have been a recreational runner – one marathon and two half-marathons – plus a bunch of 10Ks, 5Ks, Corporate Challenges. You will find me and my crew most Wednesday mornings running at Cobbs Hill around 5:30 AM year–round.
I’m a CrossFitter and even consider myself a yogi after a year of nearly daily at-home yoga practice (even if I’m still not very flexible.) I can’t imaging ever not being active. Ask me about my Whoop and I will convince you that you need one! On rest days, I try to find other ways to train my brain via learning the piano and finding other ways to be a well-rounded and kind human being.

When I was younger, I took piano lessons. I loved sitting in my parents’ living room and just playing some favorite songs I had committed to memory. Once I set out on my own and no longer had access to a piano, I pretty much forgot everything I learned. So taking lessons again is on my bucket list.
